Karen’s boss, Darren Dunn, says he didn’t know anything about the house’s past before selling it to the Brannocks. Dean threatens to sue the family, but Darren stands his ground and says it would hurt the family, not his agency. All transactions were done according to the law, so there is no way to look into them. Since the LLC is involved in selling the house, he can’t share private information, according to New Jersey law.

Dean brings up Andrew Pierce, but Darren insists that it has nothing to do with the sale. Karen tries to make things better, but the Brannocks don’t listen. Dean had ordered the 1995 yearbook from Westfield High School when Jasper stopped talking. He learns the names of the people in Graff. Dean leaves the office and moves all of his work meetings so he has more time to look at the evidence. This is noticed by Dean’s boss, and it’s enough to explain why Dean wasn’t made a partner.

He doesn’t understand why Chamberland gave him all of the proof. Because it shows how the police department messed up and the dirty secrets of the town. Nora asks Dean again for some “sexy time,” but he doesn’t know what she means. Again, we see someone outside watching the house. Ellie sends Dakota some intimate photos, and Dakota sends her some of his own. He sees Ellie and Dakota making out again, and he talks to them about it. Theodora, Dean, and Nora talk about the case some more. Nora is upset because this is the first time he has talked about Graff in front of her. He’s going back to what they did when they went bankrupt but then got out of it. Theodora thinks that Dean may have met a fake.

He doesn’t know what to do and suggests that they sell the house. Nora gets angry and says that he’s going back on his word, but Theodora calms them down. Instead, she comes up with the idea that Dakota could be the watcher because his online gaming handle is “the watcher.” He wants to sell things for his business, so he has a reason. They get information from his laptop by using a hacker. The Brannocks make up temporarily in the kitchen, because Dean says the issue is no longer about money but about his mental peace. He suggests that they look through Ellie’s chats with Dakota on her phone. They carry out the plan in a funny dad-and-son way, but Dean gets mad when he sees the intimate photos. Ellie is furious, and the couple has no choice but to lock her in her room. In hindsight, it might have been a mistake.

The next morning, when Dean comes to install new cameras, he hits Dakota. Ellie calls the police to say that her own father is guilty. When the policeman shows up, Dakota feels ashamed. The cop says that since she is 1 and Dakota is 19, their private business is their own and he can’t arrest Dakota for the letters in that way. The child loses it in front of his mother, and the two of them go to the police station with a lawyer. He gives Chamberland a sample of his DNA on his own, and he answers any questions they might have. Chamberland thinks that the Brannocks are once again not grateful, so he tells them to leave. Do they now have a new enemy?

What comes next will make you angry, but you have to put yourself in Ellie’s shoes to see it. Not what “you think” she should have done based on where you were standing. She posts a message on social media in which she says Dean is a racist for not letting her see an African American man. Karen tells Nora about the video, and Dean’s boss calls him in to talk about it. They talk to Ellie, and she says that this is what they get for getting in her way and making her feel trapped. It is a terrible thing that happened to the family because it could hurt Dean’s career and reputation in the public eye. If he can’t pay back the jumbo loans, he could lose his job and they could lose their house.

Also, Karen’s membership has been put on hold for now. Karen says that Nora needs to sell the house now. Now, she has no choice but to do it. She has to end her marriage to Dean and sell the house. Her price is $1.9 million. The Brannocks paid $3.3 million for it. Nora says that it’s not true. Karen comes across as a little too forceful, and Nora thinks she might be part of the plot. The boss of both Nora and Dean gets an envelope that says “Watch Me.” It is shocking to see Dean naked in bed while a teen girl with pigtails comes and lays with her. It was taken in Dean’s room.

Dakota admits he did it. But when he sees how Dean reacts to the girl, he changes his mind. Dean also tells Dakota that he’s sorry he put him on the spot. Dean is also accused of writing the letters himself in an attempt to fix the mistake he made when he bought the house.

At first, that was what Nora was upset about. She tells Dean to leave the house and get a room in a motel. He tries to show her that the evidence shows that the dress is the same as Pat Graff’s. She is asking for a divorce, and they are selling the house. Dean sees Andrew Pierce in an ad on TV, and the face looks familiar. WHAT?! Was Dean really set up to fail? Was “the watcher” the one who hired Andrew? Dean keeps watch from his car outside the house. When the light goes out, he sees Pearl looking at him through her house. Then, to his surprise, he sees a taxi pull up to Mo and Mitch’s house. It’s the two people in real life. Even through the window, Mo gives him a smile. What’s happening?

The Watcher: Season 1 Ep. 4 : Review of the Episode

So far, Episode 4 has given us the most interesting things to think about. No one could have seen so much of that coming. The best parts were Ellie’s appeal on social media, Dakota’s revenge, and the fact that Mo and Mitch were not dead. I didn’t notice that Andrew Pierce might have been set up by the Brannocks. Does John Graff really exist? Is Theodora also in on the plan? Is Karen with the same group of people?

With this episode, The Watcher’s mystery has reached its highest level of difficulty. It doesn’t get much harder than this to figure out who is doing all of this. Uncertainty and ambiguity drive the psychological part of the story, which will keep bothering you until you finish the series.
